The Broken Oar Marina Bar & Grill is situated on 7 riverfront acres with some of the most scenic views found on the lower Fox River. It has become a destination for thousands of customers all over the Midwest. It is not just another bar or restaurant on the river, it is also a piece of history. A history that can be heard in the stories of the regular customers and preserved on the bar top itself. Three generations now enjoy our panoramic views, year round riverfront dining, full service marina and the largest beer garden in McHenry County with unmatched outdoor entertainment. Our newly constructed spacious "skydeck" provides upper level outdoor dining and seating with extraordinary river and sunset views.

Our summer events like Tuesdays Classic & Custom Car & Bike Night, Wakeboard Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays $1 Draft Party, Friday's Irie Hour Island Beach Party and weekend outdoor entertainment make us a destination for all demographics and outdoor enthusiasts. The outdoor party tent ensures that our special events and entertainment are extended seasonally and happen rain or shine from April through October.

The full service marina provides seasonal boat slip rentals, boat launching, boat sales, pontoon rental, mechanical services, gas sales, hoisting, winterizing and year round storage.
